Price Updating-Commercial Grade Charcoal and Active Carbon Price

  Many customers want to know price of raw material and product in China market while inquiring carbonization and activation equipment. Today, we share you newest market price in August of 2020. Detailed data shown as below:

  Active carbon aspect: Iodine value for active carbon used for gas absorption should be higher than 950. Among them, price for coal based active carbon is RMB12000 per ton which is the lowest level. Iodine value of good quality wood base active carbon is higher than 1100 and price is higher than RMB28000/ton. Why the price is different is that ash content of coal gas active carbon is always high and Methylene absorption value is low.

  Charcoal aspect: Charcoal is mainly used for BBQ charcoal rod and chopped carbon. In BBQ charcoal road market, charcoal rod produced from fruit branches is always sold at around RMB4000/ton. Price for wood powder carbonized BBQ charcoal rod is about RMB5500/ton. Charcoal block with high fixed carbon content produced from coal is always used as carbon in rural area. Price for this kind of charcoal is about RMB35000/ton. Coconut shell charcoal is mainly used as raw material for secondary processing. Owing to Covid-19, coconut shell charcoal is expensive and price is about RMB7000/ton.

  Based on above analysis, we estimate that active carbon price will see a new round rising.
