Many production processes require rotary kilns operating in batch mode. The IC-ZFH series batch rotary kiln is newly redesigned by Taeda based on the ICA platform, integrated with WZFH batch feeding & discharging structural technology. It is a new non-contact heating rotary kiln dedicated to batch processing.
The IC-ZFH is perfectly matched to production lines with batch-type upstream and downstream processes, and also widely applied for lab-scale and pilot-scale trials. Materials are continuously tumbled inside the kiln while the furnace tube rotates simultaneously, delivering uniform heating. Its thermal performance far outperforms tunnel heating technology, alongside larger processing capacity.
Taeda’s engineering team has developed two batch operation modes for the IC-ZFH series:
Model A – Automatic Batch Mode.
The kiln automatically feeds materials and rapidly conveys them into the heating zone. Once the preset holding time for discharging is reached, the kiln reverses rotation automatically. An internal material retaining cone allows fast material passage to the discharge zone for rapid unloading.
Model M – Manual Version.
This version is more similar to TDCWK. For feeding, open the charging port and add materials manually, or push the feeder into the charging port for material input. For discharging, wait until the internal kiln temperature drops to a safe level, open the charging port, then reverse the kiln to discharge materials.
Constructed with high-temperature resistant heavy-duty components, the IC-ZFH series operates reliably under severe working conditions. It features strong impact resistance, supports heavy-load forward and reverse rotation, and can run stably for long durations at high temperatures beyond the operating limits of conventional batch rotary kilns.
If high temperatures are not required, you may consider the TDCWK series batch-type externally heated rotary kiln, which offers better cost performance.
