Introduction
What are the technical advantages of new desulphurized gypsum calcining drying equipment launched by Taeda in 2020?
Desulphurized gypsum is sludge wastes produced by Alkaline scrubbing tower and its main ingredient is CaSo4. Because environmental protection is more and more strict and daily output of desulphurized gypsum is more and more (especially from coal thermal power plant). Traditional desulphurized gypsum drying machine is rotary drum dryer. Owing to change of heating method, steam, boiler exhaust heat and electricity are more and more considered by customers. Accordingly, external heating drying system appear, like steam dryer and electricity heating dryer, but these external heating drum dryer accounts for small market share. The reason is that manufacturing price of them are much higher than rotary dryer. Boiling calcining equipment is one small branch for gypsum calcining. It is mainly applied for calcining and dewatering of gypsum raw ore. But, owing to immature technology, it occupies pretty small market share.
  Rotary drum dryer occupies extremely high market recognition, but there are lots of obvious disadvantages, like high energy consumption, high pollution, large occupation area and poor adaptability. Desulphurized gypsum is a viscous material. Without proper disposal, common rotary dryer cannot reach drying and dewatering effect, let alone making gypsum product after calcining.

OSC air swept tube dryer has two major steps while disposing desulphurized gypsum

1. Special structure efficiently finish drying aim and remove unbound water.
OSC air swept tube dryer is also called air swept rotary wing dryer. Turbine dispersing device speeds up dewatering process and unbound water can be removed quickly.

2. Flash boiling accomplish calcining task and get high quality products.
In rear part of OSC-AST Dryer, semi-dry gypsum presents flash boiling state. In terms of working principle, it is equal to “chamber boiling calcining furnace”. Difference is that residence time of calcining for OSC-AST dryer can be precisely controlled. OSC-AST Dryer can guarantee no over-burnt and light-burnt.
