Production of calcium aluminate powder can be summarized as crushing, grinding, mixing, lifting, conveying, calcination, fuel, cooling and other processes. Following lines briefly describes the production process of calcium aluminate:
Qualified ore (high alumina ore and limestone) will be sent in a two-level crushing system composed of jaw crusher and high-efficiency fine crusher, which will control ore particle size ≤8-10mm. Prepared raw materials will be sent into silo through bucket elevator. Mixed material with certain proportion will enter ball mill for grinding process. After being grinded into 160mesh or higher, material will be conveyed to raw material silo. Vibrating feeder will convey raw materials to rotary kiln for calcining process through sliding chute. Along with rotation of rotary kiln, raw materials will move to kiln head. Meanwhile, fuel will be injected into rotary kiln for combustion. Rotary kiln can adopt multi-channel burner. Primary air volume can be reduced and secondary air volume can be improved.
Correspondinly, Taeda calcium aluminate rotary kiln holds obvious energy saving effect. There are various fuels for options such as natural gas, coal gas and high quality coal powder. Coal gas can be produced by coal gasifier. High quality coal powder can be got by ball mill or vertical mill. Hot air from kiln head cover can be used to dry coal powder. Coal powder fineness can be flexibly adjusted through dynamic powder selecting machine so that to provide convenience for full combustion of coal powder. Calcined powder material (calcium aluminate) will enter cooler. Always adopted cooler is rotary cooler featured in simple operation and reliable working performance. Secondary air from cooler will completely enter rotary kiln to match with application of multi-channel burner. Thus, great amount of energy can be saved.
